Church Baby Shower

Last Saturday we were blessed to have another baby shower thrown by some ladies Kris and I go to church with (my visiting teachers). We got some great stuff and can't believe our little man is coming SO soon. Really, he could come any day now! I'm 37.5 weeks now, but don't worry mom, the doctor said no baby this week!
My mom can't come down until October 12th because my brother Collin is leaving on his mission that day and she wants to see him off at the airport. SO the baby and I have daily chats about staying in his home at least til the 10th. NOW.. back to the shower..

Me, doing my classic head tilt, while enjoying some yummy brunch

Some of the ladies that came to spoil us

More ladies..

Playing a game where you had to guess what was in the baby jar.. SO FUN

Such a cute beanie.. it matches the card.. AND can you see the beautiful crochet blanket in the basket??

CUTE burb clothes made by Nikki.. (I have to learn how!)

Onsies with the babies initials on them.. we haven't anounced the name and I gave Kris special permission to give the initials out to one of the guys in his program (so his wife could make us something). I didn't think about the fact that people would see them at the shower! SO I guess this is us announcing the initials, B.P.O.!!

My amazing hostesses, that did such a great job! It was so nice.

THANKS again ladies! It was an amazing morning!

Catching up..

I always feel like I'm always behind on my blogging. BUT I'm excited to say that this will catch us all up! YEAH! I'm still working over 40 hours a week. I'll be working til my water breaks... literally.. I have too to get my paid maternity leave, plus I want all my time off to be with my little guy. Kris started school 2 weeks ago and is officially a 2nd year doctoral student, WOOOO! Two and a half years to go til he graduates!

Last week Jon and Kat, who live in Houston, welcomed a new addition to their family, Mr. Deckland Knute Ormson

He is SO sweet and pretty much slept the whole time we were at the hospital

Uncle Kris with the baby, he was a natural with him and I feel great about how he'll be with our baby bundle.

On Labor Day we had some friends over to use the grill Kris got for Father's day. It was his first time using it! He did great! We had the best steaks, corn on the cob, salad, potato's, and ice cream. It was so fun! Unfortunetly I didn't get an pics of us with our friends, I promise we have some!

Me, acting like I'm grilling out. 34 weeks pregnant and still growing!

Here is a sneak peak of our crib, my hubby has been hard at work putting all of our stuff together! The room is a work in progress so I'll post pics when it's all finished!

Baby Shower/ Amarillo Weekend

Kris and I flew home to Amarillo about 3 weeks ago and I had a baby shower while I was there. It was such a nice shower and I had such a great time seeing everyone. Kris and I are so grateful for everyone's generosity towards us and this little boy! I only wish I had taken more pictures..

My mom and I at the shower

My awesome hostesses minus Torrie and Kelli.. I never got a pic with them :(

Torrie made this AMAZING diaper cake.. she's a natural!

I got to meet my newest neice, Finley, SO cute!

My little brother Collin recieved his mission call a couple weeks ago to Hawaii. This was my last time to see him before he reports to the MTC on October 12th. I'm actually going to be keeping a blog of his mission though while he is gone, please follow it at

The family outside right before we left..

I'm sure going to miss him!
